Subhi al-Tufayli, the leading Lebanese Shiite scholar of Lebanon

The first secretary-general of the Lebanese militia Hezbollah, 1989 to 1991, and prominent Shiite Lebanese scholar, Subhi al-Tufayli criticized Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. He alleged that Khamenei is one of the biggest defenders of corruption in Iraq and Lebanon. In a video released on social media, Subhi al-Tufayli addressed Khamenei, “Is it not wrong that anyone who complains of oppression should be accused of being an agent of other countries?” Is this a deadly agent on the road? Subhi al-Tufayli added that you (Khamenei) believe that you are the guardian of not only the Iranians but the Muslims, so does Wali Amar kill the hungry and protect the corrupt and the criminals?
Former Hezbollah secretary-general says at least 250 people have been killed and 11,000 wounded in Iraq, they were killed by your armed men, and so were your armed men who killed us in Lebanon. Subhi al-Tufayli addressed Khamenei, saying that as happened yesterday, your party attacked innocent people and burned their tents. Usually we weep at the burning of the tents of Hazrat Hussain (RA), but it looks like we are watching this scene repeat, but in another way.
The Lebanese scholar continued his remarks saying, “Mr. High, we say that the country has been robbed since 1972, and your party has been providing support to them, they have filled the country with filth and corruption.” Has our religion taught us to be robbers, corrupt, murderers and invaders? Addressing Khamenei, Subhi al-Tufayli asked the question, what would you name the wealth you spend in Syria, by which you are buying the world’s conscience and by which you price the media?
