Following the announcement of Sudan’s normalization of relations with Israel, Zionist Minister of Intelligence Eli Cohen arrived in Khartoum yesterday, where members of the delegation met with Sudanese leaders to discuss diplomatic, security and economic issues. He met with General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and Defense Minister Yassin Ibrahim Yassin. A memorandum of understanding was formally signed on the occasion. Meanwhile, Andrew Young, the deputy commander of US military command in Africa, also arrived in Sudan on a two-day visit.

On the other hand, Israel started preparing to attack Iran, while the Israeli army chief also warned Iran. According to foreign media, Israeli Army Chief Aviv Kochavi threatened to attack Iran, saying that Israel is ready to attack Iran at any time. Aviv Kochavi said he had ordered the Israeli army to be ready for possible action against Iran. The Israeli army chief also warned the new US administration that the United States should refrain from joining the Iran nuclear deal in 2015. Joining the nuclear deal will enable Iran to develop nuclear weapons. Aviv Kochavi added that Iran should not have the capability to make a nuclear bomb. We will take all possible measures to keep up the pressure on Iran.
