Iran reports preliminary investigative report of Ukrainian passenger plane crash on January 9

US newspaper The New York Times has revealed that the military admitted to slamming Ukrainian aircraft over threats of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani’s resignation otherwise he was trying to hide the matter. New York Times reports that Iran fired ballistic missiles at US forces on January 7, which was on high alert for a counter-attack by Iran, the United States, and the Iranian military threatened to launch more missiles. According to the report, the Revolutionary Officer spotted an unidentified plane near Tehran International Airport and had a few seconds to make a decision. The report said that minutes after the plane was downed, the top commanders of the Revolutionary Revolution realized what they had done and immediately began trying to hide the incident. It was further reported that the revolutionaries had also refused to tell the truth to Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, whose government was publicly rejecting statements about the aircraft being dropped.

According to the New York Times, when the passenger revolution informed Hassan Rouhani about the Ukrainian plane crash, the Iranian president gave an ultimatum to accept responsibility or he would resign. Within 72 hours of the Ukrainian plane’s crash, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei intervened and ordered the government to make a serious mistake. According to reports, Iranian general was preparing to retaliate for the killing of Qasem Soleimani on January 7 but the government had allowed civilian commercial flights from Tehran Airport to fly and fly. Amir Ali Hajizadeh, General of the Aerospace Force of the Passengers Revolution, said that his units had asked the authorities in Tehran to close the Iranian airspace and ground all flights. On the morning of January 10, government spokesman Ali Rabiei issued a statement, saying that the accusation by Iran of airliner was a major lie. Several hours later that day, Iran’s top military commanders called for a private meeting and told Hassan Rouhani the truth. According to close officials of the Iranian president, Hassan was a spiritual ruin and demanded to admit the tragic mistake and accept the consequences immediately. However, military officials refused and said it would create instability in the country, but Hassan Rouhani had threatened to resign. At 7am on January 11, the Iranian army issued a statement saying that Iran had fired a Ukrainian plane due to human error.

It is to be noted that in the US drone attack on January 3, Qasem Soleimani, the leader of Iran’s Quds Force and the most important commander, was killed, along with Iraqi militia commander Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis. Tensions escalated in the Middle East following the death of Qasem Soleimani. After which, on January 8, Iran responded to the death of General Qasem Soleimani and fired 15 ballistic missiles at two military bases in the US and its allies in Iraq and claimed to have killed 80 Americans. A few hours later, a Ukrainian passenger plane flying from Imam Khomeini airport in Tehran was destroyed in the crash, killing all 176 people aboard the plane. The Ukrainian Prime Minister confirmed 176 people aboard the plane, which included 167 passengers and 9 crew members. The Ukrainian Foreign Minister said the plane had 82 Iranian, 63 Canadian, Swedish, 4 Afghan, 3 German and 3 British nationals, while 11 Ukrainian nationals, including 9 crew members and 2 passengers, were aboard.

Preliminary Investigative Report on Ukrainian Aircraft:

On January 9, Iran revealed a preliminary investigation report on the crash of a passenger plane in Ukraine. There was also no radio call for help after the passenger plane caught fire when the plane tried to return to the airport. The Iranian investigative report reported that a few minutes after flying from the Imam Khomeini International Airport in Tehran, Ukraine International Airlines’s Boeing 737 had suddenly emerged and crashed. It is to be noted that after the accident, world leaders expressed concern over the plane crash, accusing Iran of destroying the aircraft. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau claimed that we have evidence that the plane was destroyed by Iran’s air-to-air missiles. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his Australian counterpart Scott Morrison made similar statements. In addition, a video was posted by the New York Times on January 9, showing a missile fired on a Ukrainian aircraft in Iran, and they also claimed to have confirmed the video. Iran later invited both Boeing and Ukraine to participate in the investigation of the devastated Ukrainian plane.
