The International Court of Justice has completed a three-day hearing in Myanmar over allegations of genocide of a Muslim Rohingya minority. The West African country Gambia filed a lawsuit on behalf of a large group of Islamic countries. It accused Myanmar of genocide of Rohingya people. The two sides recorded their final statements on Thursday, the last day of the hearing in The Hague, Netherlands. The Gambia insisted that Myanmar failed to explain in its response the previous day about the women and children who were brutally killed. Practical Myanmar leader Aung San Suu Kyi says arguing against international judicial interference that the move would create doubts and distances between ethnic groups and endanger the reconciliation process.
