Maulana Fazl-ur- Rehman, head of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, has said that we do not want confrontation with state institutions but if the government took the path of violence in Azadi March, today, if not tomorrow, if not tomorrow, they are capable of revenge. Talking to the media, he said that there have been few opportunities in the history of Pakistan when such solidarity has been found at the national level against the government. Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman said that no deliberate proposal has been received from the government but work will continue till March.
Talking to reporters in Islamabad, Maulana Fazl-ur- Rehman had said that October 27 will be celebrated with Kashmiris on October 27 and ‘Azadi March’ will enter Islamabad on October 31. They said that the 15th March, the most successful Azadi March, has proved that we are peaceful. The JUI-F chief said, “We do not want confrontation with the institutions at all; we will seek vengeance on our constitutional and legal rights or retaliate for human rights violations.”
Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman said, “I thank all the political parties in different walks of life that have supported Azadi March and decided to join the Azadi March.” However, he did not name the parties participating in the Azadi March. The head of the JUI said, “No institution considers our peaceful sentiment as weak. This country belongs to all of us. No one has the right to steal the vote of the nation and become the ruler.” They said that we did not recognize the right rule of this government from day one, they will have to resign.
Maulana Fazl-ur- Rehman said that the economy was ruined in the country; inflation has broken the back of the common man. He said that one million jobs were given to the younger generation but in one year, 1.5 to 20 lakh youth were unemployed, due to government incompetence, they are seeing their future in the dark. He said the entire business community was a protest, the most successful strike in the history of Pakistan. And once again they are going to strike at the national level; their legitimate demands are not being recognized.
The JUI-F chief said that only two people came to Pakistan for employment; the governor of the State Bank and the chairman of the FBR, both representatives of the IMF, are why we have reservations. He said that those who hold dual citizenship and are employed by international institutions first have to decide whether the interests of Pakistan are in their view; the national interest will not be compromised. He said that the foreign policy of the government had failed miserably; we could not gain the trust of the United States. Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman said that for the first time in the history of the UN General Assembly, the United States ignored Pakistan, India relations and Kashmir issue. Addressing the government, he said that there was no need to shed crocodile tears, you made a Kashmir deal.
The JUI-F chief claimed that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit to China was disappointing, he only got 20 minutes to meet the Chinese president and a lot of effort was made for the meeting. He said that it was unacceptable for the C-Pack Authority to make the ordinance, that such measures have damaged the confidence of a friend like China.
On the other hand, JUI-F chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman, on the other hand, had telephonic contact with opposition leader Shahbaz Sharif. In a telephonic connection, Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman inquired about the purchase of Shahbaz Sharif and informed him about the Azadi March. Meanwhile, Shahbaz Sharif told Nawaz Sharif’s letter to Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman. Shahbaz Sharif said, “We will be with you in the Azadi March.” The delegation will meet with you soon regarding Nawaz Sharif’s instructions. On this occasion, Maulana Azadi March also thanked Nawaz Sharif’s announcement. He said that this government is incompetent and will rid the people of it.
