Berlin … News Time

A lawsuit has been filed against 12 people in Germany over racism. The federal prosecution says the S group is involved in destroying government and social systems. They are accused of fomenting social unrest and attacking Muslims, refugees and political enemies. During a court hearing in the southwestern city of Stuttgart, the prosecution said that in September 2019, a terrorist organization called S Group was formed. The far-right group was led by Werner S and Tony E. Twelve people were charged during the trial with plotting to attack refugees and Muslims. The three men were accused of killing eight Turks, a Greek and a female police officer out of hatred. Weapons, axes and swords were recovered from them during the raids. According to media reports, the growing trend of racism and extremism in Germany has become a headache for the government.

German Interior Minister Horst Seehofer says right-wing extremism is the biggest security threat to Germany. In 2020, the crime rate for right-wing extremists reached a four-year high, according to figures released by the German police in February. In January, neo-Nazi Stephan Ernst was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of pro-immigrant politician Walter Luebcke. In February 2020, a far-right extremist opened fire on two glass bars, killing nine people and injuring five others. The massacre was described as the deadliest genocide in Germany since the war. In October 2019, two people were killed in an attack on a synagogue on a Jewish holiday.
