The Election Commission issued the final list of candidates for presidential elections in the country. Arif Alvi, Aitzaz Ahsan and Maulana Fazlur Rehman will compete. After the time to withdraw the nomination papers, no candidate can take retirement till now. According to the final list of the election commission, Arif Alvi, Aitzaz Ahsan and Maulana Fazlur Rehman are now in the field for presidential election. Only the rich place returned the papers until the time to withdraw the nomination papers. That’s why two candidates from the opposition and a candidate of the government alliance will participate in the presidential election.
Polling will be held in Parliament House and four provincial assemblies on September 4 for presidential elections. Chief Justice of the five High Courts, Chief Justice of the Presidency Officer, will be the Chief Election Commissioner, Returning Officer. Former Election Commissioner of the Election Commission, Kanwar Dilshad said that the President will be elected under Electoral Polls by the Electoral College. This consists of National Assembly, Senate and four provincial assemblies. Kanwar Dilshad said that after the 18th constitutional amendment, the powers of dissolution of the President in general have expired. He said that it is a routine practice that President always comes from ruling party.
