Candidates have started their campaign for Japan’s upper house elections. The poll will be on July 21st. Overall 370 candidates have filed their nomination papers for these elections. This election can be a measure of public scrutiny over the current six-year rule of the current government. These elections, as per the default time by the Government, can become an explicit opinion on key policies such as increasing user tax in October. Another key issue is the official pension plan. These elections are happening after the government rejects the report, which has been said due to low pension of moderate couples, a large amount of money can be needed.
