Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman and former president Asif Ali Zardari announced again a motion of no-confidence against Senate Sadiq Sanjrani, the chairman. When the reporter questioned the former president who came out of jail on a production order will Sadiq use the non-confidence option again against Sanjani? To which Asif Ali Zardari replied positively, Inshallah. Speaking on the occasion, Asif Ali Zardari said that it takes three months for the chairman to re-issue a resolution against the Senate, however, they could not win the war once but will win again. He also pointed to amending the rules to eliminate secret ballots in the Senate. Responding to a question, the co- PPP said that Khawaja Asif, senior leader of the PML-N, had no position in his party, so he does not want to respond to Khawaja Asif’s statements.
It should be noted that on August 1, the opposition’s opposition to the Senate, Sadiq Sanjrani, had failed. For the first time in the country’s history, the opposition’s removal from the Senate was a secret vote in the upper house of confidence. Opposition Leader Raja Zafarul Haq presented against Chairman Senate the resolution was backed by 64 members, after which a secret ballot was launched on non-confidence movement. Opposition victory against Sadiq Sanjrani was possible by 53 votes but when the results of the secret ballot were announced. So the opposition faced a failure of 3 votes and got 50 votes in favor of the resolution.
