The All India Muslim Personal Law Board has decided that it is Ram Janmabhoomi. Babri Masjid will appeal a review of the Supreme Court’s recent decision in the case. The board’s executive meeting was held on Sunday, according to a press release issued by the Muslim Board on Sunday. In which the Supreme Court’s November 9 decision was discussed in detail. Following the meeting, Secretary of the All India Muslim Board Zafaryab Jilani, Member Board Qasim Rasool Ilyas and his colleagues spoke to journalists.

On the other hand, the Uttar Pradesh Sunni Waqf Board, a key party to the case, has said that it is on its stand and will not be included in the review appeal. According to news agency PTI, Sunni Waqf Board Chairman Zafar Farooqi said that before the verdict, the Muslim Personal Law Board was saying that they would respect the decision and then why they were going for review. Another party to the case, Hashim Ansari’s son Iqbal Ansari, has said that he too is not in favor of a review appeal. However, during a press conference by the Muslim Personal Law Board, Zafaryab Jilani said that Misbah ud Din, Maulana Mehfuz ur Rehman, Mohammad Umar and Haji Mehboob all agreed among the Muslim parties in the country to file a review appeal. It may be recalled that last week, the Supreme Court of India pronounced the judgment of the Babri Masjid and Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh state, and ordered the construction of the temple on the disputed land and giving Muslims a substitute for the mosque.

A five-member constitutional bench, headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi, unanimously ruled the temple, mosque dispute, that the Muslim party should be given an alternative five acres for the construction of a mosque at a prominent place within Ayodhya. The court has directed the Center and the state government of Uttar Pradesh to manage this alternative land. However, during a press conference when journalists asked about the other party, Zafaryab Jilani, the secretary of the Muslim board, said the district and the police administration were pressing Iqbal Ansari. He said Iqbal Ansari is opposing the petition because he is under pressure from the administration and police in Ayodhya. He said that the Lucknow administration had also prevented him from meeting so he had to change his meeting place at last. Earlier, the meeting was held at Darul Uloom Ndu-ul-Ulama but then he was transferred to the prominent college. Talking to reporters, Zafaryab Jilani said that at a board meeting it was felt that there were many points of contradiction not only in the Supreme Court verdict. In fact, many points are incomprehensible and at first glance it seems to be based on injustice.

Zafaryab Jilani said that for these reasons the board agreed to file a review appeal in the Supreme Court against the decision. He also made it clear that Muslims would not accept five acres in exchange for the Babri Masjid. He said that the Muslims had gone to the Supreme Court for justice. They would not go anywhere except the Babri Masjid. He said that there are already 27 mosques in Ayodhya so it is not just a mosque.
