Afghanistan’s parliamentary elections will be held next year in July. Afghanistan has announced elections for three years pending in Parwan-based parliamentary and district councils in July next year. According to the country’s Independent Election Commission, the elections will be held on July 7, 2018. The media said on Friday, the Election Commission chairman, Najibullah Ahmadzai the success of the election depends on appropriate funding and security. Since the conflict in presidential elections in 2014 and after the formation of the coalition government, President Ashraf Ghani and Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah, parliamentary and district council elections are constantly facing differences. Among the camps of Ashraf Ghani and Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah H have been an agreement with voters’ registration, election fraud and security issues. The US embassy in the Kabul and United Nations in Kabul welcomed the announcement of the new election date. This announcement has been done at a time when political and ethnic tensions are increasing. The current Parliament’s economy ended in June 2015, but after the rising questions of security issues and transparent elections, the president extended the parliament’s period until holding a new election through his decree.
